The Foundation provides direct grant and scholarship funding for dental laboratory technology programs and dental laboratory technology students for advanced education or certification.
The Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology
Since 2008, the National Association of Dental Laboratories, through this Foundation, has provided hundreds of scholarships, grants and opportunities to men and women looking to develop their skills within the field of restorative dentistry. Comprised of prominent dental lab owners of all sizes across the nation, dental technicians, manufacturers and educators, the Foundation is in a unique position to benefit the entire dental profession by maintaining a skilled workforce.
$20,000 + Donors
"Thank you so much to all the laboratory owners, technicians, manufacturers, and suppliers who have donated to this fund, so that I can finally fulfill my dream and goal of becoming a CDT. I cried tears of joy when I opened this bubble mailer and found out that I won the scholarship. It has been my aspiration for a long time, and thanks to you, I am one step closer to the goal."
Charles Robert Meister, Jr.
2015 Pillar Scholarship Winner
“Because of its ability to help fund educational experiences, the Foundation has played a crucial role in helping technicians obtain a higher level of training and bring educational opportunities within reach for us. Their relationship with the NADL and the NBC has brought awareness to the complexity of training technicians and the valuable impact it has had on the technician community. With the state of our industry now, the Foundation should be honored for their efforts and resources in helping technicians succeed.”
Chris Roman, CDT
2014 Fulcrum Grant Winner
“Keeping at the forefront of technology and education does not come at a low cost but it is worth the investment. Thank you personally for your generosity. Without scholarship patrons willing to support dental technician education, students such as myself would be unable to advance within the profession. My educational pursuits would not be possible without generous support from scholarship sponsors like your organization. Thank you for enabling this opportunity!”
John Ness, PTC
2016 Memorial Education Grant Winner
“I would like to thank the Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology for this once in a lifetime opportunity to gain the knowledge from a world-reowned educational institution that teaches the latest advances in esthetic, implant and restorative dentistry through didactic and clinical delivery. Without question, these courses were eye opening and I learned a lot. I expect to incorporate this knowledge into the dental laboratory technology curriculum taught at New York City College of Technology.“
2015 Kois Center Education Grant Winner

“The Grants were a financial godsend to help us advance our plans. Funds allowed us to purchase laboratory supplies to support additional laboratory projects for our students. For example, additional silicone rings for an added pressable ceramic e-Max laboratory project for senior students allowing each student to experience the project in a timely manner.“
