FDLT Online Program Peer Review – We Need Your Help!
Finding qualified technicians continues to be one of the greatest challenges within the dental laboratory profession. The Foundation for Dental Laboratory Technology Trust wholly supports formal dental laboratory education and encourages those interested in working within the profession to consider a formal educational program. However, for technicians working on the job, obtaining access to high quality comprehensive theoretical knowledge in the profession can be a challenge.
Recognizing that there is still a need for a comprehensive program that focuses on teaching core knowledge based competencies for current and future technicians, the Foundation has spent considerable time and resources creating content to be distributed through a comprehensive online program.
As part of the development process and as a quality control measure in launching a program of this nature, the Foundation needs your help in reviewing the modules that make up each course.
Responsibilities would include being assigned 1-2 modules (provided electronically) based off of your realm of knowledge, reviewing the modules in detail, and completing a corresponding evaluation. This project is estimated to take 2-4 hours to complete over a 14 day span. You will receive 2 hours of Scientific credit upon completion of each module.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration in participating in improving the future of dental laboratory technology. If you have any questions, please contact Lindsey Rowan at lrowan@dentallabfoundation.org
